Samuel Lusker McCroskey Papers, 1945-1960

Samuel Lusker McCroskey (1893-1960) was a brigadier general in the U.S. Army and Commandant of the Biarritz American University in France. After retiring from the Army, he joined Douglas Aircraft as a project engineer on the Nike and Hercules missiles. The collection consists of correspondence, photographs, military awards, memorabilia, and related printed matter accumulated by McCroskey while serving in the Army and later as Commandant of the Biarritz American University. There is also a brief summary of McCroskey's work at Douglas Aircraft Company following his retirement from the Army.
